Stillwater & Labyrinth Canyons
Set off on an unforgettable adventure starting at either Crystal Geyser or Ruby Ranch. This journey takes you through serene waters, beginning with the rolling desert hills of eastern Utah and delving into the stunning depths of Labyrinth Canyon. After reaching Mineral Bottom, you'll continue into Stillwater Canyon, where the Green River winds through Canyonlands National Park before merging with the Colorado River.
We recommend about 15 miles each day, a pace that most groups find comfortable and allows for plenty of leisure time to soak in the breathtaking scenery. If you want to spend more time hiking or relaxing at layover camps, consider adding extra days to your trip.
In Labyrinth Canyon, you’ll enjoy tranquil waters and beautiful landscapes, perfect for unwinding and exploring. As you move into Stillwater Canyon, the scenery undergoes a subtle change, with plenty of ruins and rock art sites left by the Ancestral Puebloan people to discover. There are endless opportunities for off-river adventures, including access to the Maze, the most remote district of Canyonlands. The chance to find your own desert paradise is limited only by your willingness to explore.
This epic river trip through both Labyrinth and Stillwater Canyons combines peaceful paddling, awe-inspiring landscapes, and a rich array of historical and natural wonders just waiting to be discovered.
