Since 1958, Tex’s Riverways has provided jet boat shuttles along with canoe and kayak outfitting services to groups traveling on the Colorado and Green Rivers near Moab, Utah.
Backed by a solid reputation, our locally owned and operated business emphasizes the ethical treatment of a pristine landscape and offers reliable river shuttles on the Colorado River, the Green River, and to the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park.
Tex’s Riverways is temporarily closed for business in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not only our responsibility as members of the Moab community to take these measures, but the right choice to make for a better future for everyone. On March 16th, the Southeastern Utah Health Department issued restrictions that prohibit non-primary residents from camping on public lands in Grand County. This means river-based camping in Labyrinth Canyon and the first 13 miles of Meander Canyon above the national park boundary is prohibited. The restrictions shall expire on April 14th unless renewed or terminated early. On March 24, all flat-water river trips in Canyonlands National Park are suspended until the end of April, this encompasses the remainder of Meander Canyon and the entirety of Stillwater Canyon. In response to this unprecedented situation, we are issuing Tex Credits to all of our customers whose trips have been cancelled by a land management governing body, or whose travel plans have been interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Tex Credits are equal to any non-refundable deposit held by Tex’s Riverways. Tex Credits do not expire, are fully transferable, can be applied as deposit for future trips, and can be redeemed for any service or product that Tex’s Riverways offers. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during these trying times. We will be in the office regular hours from 8am to 4pm 7 days a week, so feel free to give us a call. Remember to always look downstream, don’t paddle too fast, and soon enough that big blue Utah sky will be over our heads again in our cherished canyons. Stay safe and healthy.
We are extending our season to November 21st to make it easier for groups to reschedule, and we are currently accepting new reservations for later this season and beyond. Request a Reservation
